The Marin Golden Threads Chapter meets monthly on the 4th Saturday of the month, with a few exceptions.

In May and November, we meet on the 3rd Saturday of the month, due to Memorial Day and Thanksgiving holidays. Due to our involvment with the Marin County Fair, our June meeting is replaced with working at the Fair. We celebrate July with a picnic instead of a meeting. We celebrate the holidays with an early December luncheon, rather than a meeting. We host an Open House in September to give interested stitchers an opportunity to participate in a program.

A general meeting of the chapter begins at 10:00 A.M. It is followed by a program that generally lasts 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Programs topics vary greatly to present a broad variety of the needleart forms. There is sometimes a small fee to cover the cost of materials. Participation in the program is not required. Members are free to bring personal projects to stitch if they do not take the program.

Please check our calendar for specifics or variations.

Unless otherwise noted, we meet in the Valley Baptist Church located at 3 N. San Pedro Road in San Rafael. Take the San Pedro exit from Highway 101 and go west just past the first stop light to find the church.

Our members are encouraged to bring their normal stitching supplies to meetings.

Meetings are sometimes supplemented with stitch-ins which are held at a member's home.
